IELTS is a standard international test system for English language proficiency. It has been accepted by the majority of all education establishments operating in English in Australia, Canada, the UK and New Zealand. Many international immigration services are also using the IELTS. At present IELTS is administered by the IELTS Partners, which include the British Council, IELTS Australia Pty Ltd (solely owned by IDP Education Pty Ltd) and Cambridge English Language Assessment.
